I have been fortunate enough to review a couple of advance reader copies on behalf of Lovereading this week (if you have never visited this fantastic site before then I highly recommend you check it out). Thanks to both Lovereading and the publishers for the opportunities.
The first book was the new Tilly Bagshawe ‘Friends and Rivals’ which is due out on 27th September from Harper Collins. It is pure, frothy chicklit and scandalously entertaining! Set amidst a fictitious music industry it’s a racy read that I think fans of Penny Vincenzi and Jackie Collins will adore. You can read my review here.
The second novel was Jo Jo Moyes ‘The Girl You Left Behind.’ Whilst I enjoyed it and am a massive fan of Moyes, following up the utterly magnificent ‘Me Before You’ was never going to be an easy job, was it…? The plot of this weaves WWI with the present day, telling an intriguing tale of two women a century apart and the painting that inexplicably links them. You can read my review of The Girl You Left Behind, which is also released on 27th September, from Penguin, here.
